camindo CMS for editors
One way of working for all content
Whether articles, products, events or images: every content area has its own input form, search form and record list, and they all work the same way. Master one content area and you have mastered them all. New colleagues get up to speed in minutes instead of days.
Simple user interface
Record lists and input forms are deliberately kept simple; context menus appear with the right mouse button instead of numerous buttons. A uniform structure runs through the entire backend and is understood intuitively.
Comprehensive documentation
You will find the current manuals directly in the CMS backend - with a search function, an index of keywords and a print version.
You do not have your own installation yet but would like to take a look at the manuals? You can also find them on github.com:
Find instead of search
Wildcards, comparisons, date ranges and relations are available in every search form: “all products over €100, changed since June, category Garden”. The system completes incomplete entries such as 2026 to a period of time on its own.
Find across all content areas
The cross-area search searches several content areas at once, for example for everything that has been changed since yesterday, or for a record number. You do not need to know where a piece of content is stored in order to find it.
Hundreds of records with one click
Batch processing changes, moves or deletes any number of records at once, for example a new category for an entire product series or an expiration date for all job advertisements. Each record is checked as thoroughly as if it had been edited by hand.
Check first, then change
The analysis runs through a batch process completely, but does not change anything. You see beforehand what will be changed and can correct it before anything happens.
Excel as an editorial tool
Content can be exported as CSV, edited in Excel and imported again. New prices for 500 articles or corrected addresses are thus handled in the spreadsheet you are used to. Before the import, an analysis shows what will change; afterwards, a log shows what has changed.
Translate without CMS access
The DOCX export creates a Word file with all texts to be translated. The translation agency overwrites them in Word, and the import puts the translation back in exactly the right place. Other languages and fields remain untouched.
No half-finished websites
If a translation is missing, the primary language steps in, field by field. Every language version is complete from day one, even while the translation is still in progress. As soon as a translation has been entered, it appears on the website.
Missing translations at a glance
The search value (empty) finds all records that are still missing a translation in the selected language. Translators see immediately what needs to be done, without having to open hundreds of records one by one.
Safe editing with the working copy
You always edit a copy. The website shows the previous state until you save: texts, images, relations and all languages then go online together. “Cancel” undoes everything without leaving a trace.
No overwriting each other's work
If two people work on the same record, an edit lock prevents the second from overwriting the changes of the first. Whoever opens the record sees who is currently editing it. Forgotten locks are released automatically after a while.
Nothing gets lost
If you are signed out after a longer break, unsaved input remains in the input form; you simply sign in again and carry on working. Deleted records first go to a trash and can be restored.
Timed publication
With a publication date and an expiration date, promotions, job advertisements or press releases appear exactly at the planned time and disappear again, even at night and at weekends. The editorial team prepares, the system publishes.
Preview before release
The preview shows a record as it will appear on the website, even if it is still disabled or has a future publication date. This way, every article is checked before the public sees it.
Correct directly from the website
With frontend editing, edit markers appear while you browse your own website. Spot a typo, click it, correct it: the matching input form opens immediately, without having to look for the content in the backend first. Visitors do not see the markers.
Pages made of building blocks
Text, image and gallery blocks are inserted, moved and removed directly in the input form of a page. This creates varied pages without losing the layout, because every building block comes with its own fixed design.
Keep working instead of waiting
Large imports, exports or video conversions run in the background. You carry on working immediately, the hourglass shows the progress, and the result arrives as an internal message, including a log or download link.
Help from artificial intelligence
The add-on module “AI assistant” is at your side, makes changes on your behalf or explains features to you. The assistant can also open the input form in the backend that you were looking for.
