Create input fields

Any number of input fields can be created per content area, even later on while the website is in operation. What only a programmer can do in other systems is set up in camindo CMS via the graphical user interface.
Programming is still needed, but only at a low threshold on the template level: to process the content of the new field.

Input fields fall into the following main types:

  • Text
  • Encrypted text (personal data)
  • Numeric values
  • Dates and times
  • Passwords
  • Full text across several fields
  • One-way and two-way relations (n:n content)
  • Exclusively assigned content of other content areas (1:n content)
  • Files
  • Meta information (such as creation and modification date)
  • Fields for tree structures and sorting

For each field, the display type can be chosen as well:

  • Single-line text field
  • Multi-line text field
  • Option list (pulldown, checkboxes, radio buttons, multiple selection)
  • Lookup field
  • Switch

In addition, extensions can be chosen, for example

  • HTML editor
  • Markdown editor
  • Icon picker
  • Snippet picker (translation of the field label in the backend)

You can also specify how the input is validated and processed.
